About Us
One fine day in 2005, founders George and Emily had taken their first sip of single-sourced beans from the jungles of Peru and had to know more! The following year they trekked to South America and found a local farmer who provided sustainably sourced beans. They struck a deal! They would source beans from his farm with the idea that for every coffee sold they would give back 10% to the community in which these beans grow. Ever since, The Minimalist has been committed to sustainable farming practices, providing funding and education for the children of their farming community, and devoting resources to environmental causes of the region.
